Dr. Makam graduated from Mysore University-India and completed Post Graduate Diploma in Pediatric and Adult Gastroenterology from the University of Vienna (Austria). He also trained in England in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology obtaining a MRCP (Membership of Royal College of Physicians). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and a fellowship in Gastroenterology from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His special interests are GERD, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Liver Diseases.
